They lead up to it all day and it lasted like a little over 2 minutes. Good thing I didn't bet I would have lost my money. I picked the #2 horse, Curlin.

It was a pretty good horse race. The Derby is always the premier event in horse racing. How many of you saw Richard Petty at the race. The Queen was also there.

I watched it and loved it. If you thought all the hype was for nothing, you just don't understand horse racing. Some people study and study before they make a bet and still loose, while the Mrs picks a horse for the color of the jockey and wins. LOL

As for me, I picked On Any Saturday and Scat Daddy and it's a good thing I didn't make a bet. :)

I thought the jockey did a good job today. The rail did open up but he also guided the horse expertly.

I saw where Richard was going to be there. I did see the Queen on tv a couple of times though.

A friend of mine was part of the welcoming party in Jamestown, VA and I believe got to meet the Queen.

Personnally I pass on any hype, being it the Daytona 500 or the Kentucky Derby.
