Anybody watching ESPN Dream Job?

I just really started watching bits and pieces of it the last few weeks. It is more interesting than I thought it would be. My thoughts...

I really was pulling for Kasey. He just seemed like a guy I could see getting my sports news from. Good personality, clean look and really seemed like a real sports fan. He surprisingly got voted off last night.

Of the 4 remaining, I have no idea how the chick (whose name I can't remember right now) is still on here except that some people might be afraid to boot off the last female. She is unprofessional, has an annoying voice, and apparently she knows less about sports than my wife does. And my wife will tell you she herself hates sports. And not to sound cheuvanistic(sp?) but she is pretty hard to look at too. I just can't see flipping on Sportscenter and looking at that face and hearing her stumble over her words all night.

Zach seems like the favorite to me. He still has terrible hair, but it is much better than it was when they kept showing him on the earlier commercials. He has a good voice, seems more intelligent than the remaining players and just seems to be much quicker on his feet mentally when being challenged. I think he has the best chance of winning this thing.

Last night was the first time I saw Mike. His hair may be considered stylish, but I just want to jump through the screen and brush that crap (man I am getting old). He also thinks he is much funnier than anyone else does.

I have no thoughts on Aaron as he has made no impression on me at all.

Now the judges. Tony Kornheiser and Kit seem honest, thoughtful, insightful and very fair. LaVar Arrington is what he is. He obviously knows sports, but seems hung up on pet peaves.

Now that last judge...I have no idea who he is, but I do know he is a complete a-hole. He is very intelligent and obviously has been in the business for a long time. But he is a complete jerk who is totally wrong for this gig. He seems to be very unhappy with his life and is trying to tear everybody else down to make himself look better. It's like he hopes by picking every contestant apart it will make what "the professionals" do look like rocket science. It isn't. Get over yourself.

Any thoughts?

The last guy is Al Jaffe....Vice-President of Talent at ESPN,
a job he's held since 1987....he receives 2500 resumes
a month for jobs at ESPN...I'm sure he has some idea
of what he's talking about...the 'Simon Cowell' of
the panel, he's bringing these people back down to
Earth.....the series has been great to watch...

I think Zach is great....Aaron's been getting alot
of praise, but I think Mike Hall will win....the girl
is a good writer but I don't care for her onscreen
presence..

I was thinking the same thing. They should consider her for a job as a writer. But I just can't see her taking up air time with her presence.

I said he obviously knows a lot about the subject and he is very intelligent. However, he is also arrogant, annoying, and frustrated. And he has no appeal to me whatsoever.

I agree with you, Zach will probably win it, even though his hair is a total mess.

It's a great series, but the real way to get into ESPN is just to study journalism, when you get to a big university, drop out and submit your app to ESPN. After all, thats how the pros did it right?
