I can't believe I didn't think of this but isn't it odd that Phil Parsons a cup owner(even a start and park team) gets to be a pit reporter and goes around all the other cars and see's the setup and parts and hears all the plans to make the cars go faster, handle better.......ect

Now I know his cars don't race past lap 20 but still if they did he could hear some good secrets.

Phil Parsons is a PxP guy for the Trucks and ARCA races and still has access to the pits.

All of the other teams have the same access.Thats why Nascar parks them inches apart in open garages with no screens or curtains allowed.Privacy in the garage area is only in the bathroom.

There was a piece on this in the Daly planet.

Ray Evernham does work for ESPN. I have also heard Erin Crocker do some pit reporting for PRN Radio :)

And if I remember right, Jay Frye's wife used to do some pit reporting on MRN
