The four best races this season, which occured in the last five weeks, occured with Allen Bestwick in the booth? Is it positive karma, great announcing, great racing or ESPN being the superior network?

I think it's all of the above. The racing's improved and ESPN is showing us the racing instead of just the "storylines".

The only Karma I believe in is Miss Karma Sutra

The booth has "everything" to do with the "enjoyment" of the race if you have the sound turned up.

Yea, they can get annoying at times.

IMO, enjoyment of a race is a personal decision...some enjoy it for what it is while others don't. I realized years ago that I could focus on the talking heads in the booth and be miserable or tune them out enjoy the racing. Either way, it was my to decision to make and I opted to not make myself miserable.

Mike Joy is the best IMO. I didn't like the addition of MW to the broadcast, hopefully he won't be back. ESPN has some good announcers to me it just seems like Fox has more cameras and the broadcast are a little cleaner. Wally Dallenbach is also a great IMO.

IndyCar on NBC and NASCAR on ESPN are the best in motorsports right now, in that order. IndyCar on NBC is in its own league when it comes to broadcasting excellence. FOX and TNT don't come close to ESPN though.

In your opinion, you always forget to add that.

No one died but I do have dreams. ;)

You have your opinion and some of us disagree with your opinion on this, me being one.

And that's totally fine. If it's not apparent that I was expression an opinion, to the point that you think I should label each post I make with "In my opinion", then, I mean, I don't know...

Positive Energy.

However, Andy, you do have the tendancy to also use "and it's a fact" when you state your opinion. Especially when you couple it with phrases lie "if that would have happened."

Point out to me, in my post about believing NBC and ESPN have the best coverage, where I said "and it's a fact".

No, the booth has nothing to do with the racing.

I disagree. I've seen and heard broadcast booths make really bad races sound exciting and seen and heard them make really good races sound incredibly dull. It sure can set the feel for the fans watching, in my opinion.

Andy, what constitutes a great race for you is not an opinion - it's a fact. However, we all decide for ourselves what makes or breaks a race for us as well and that also is a fact. Do you understand what I'm saying?

What makes or breaks a great race for me is being there, or watching it on TV. :D

One thing ESPN has been doing is showing the best race on the track at the time. Like the race for the 15th position. I try to follow some of the "other" drivers out there, not just the leaders or TV favorites.
