Anyone from outside the USA ???

I just noticed that "gmelchior" is from Germany. I was just wondering if we have any others here that are from another country other than the US???

Sometimes I think so when the operators at catalog stores state "Sorry, we don't ship outside the US".

"But Alaska is in the US."

"Sorry, company policy prevents us from shipping to foreign countries"

"This ain't no foreign country, Mac. We were granted statehood in 1959."

"We still can't ship outside the US."

"The US Postal Sevice delivers here as does UPS and FedX. We are part of the US."

"Sorry my hands are tied"

I usually just hang up.

The best one was a letter I received from a professional association inviting me to a seminar. "Dear Alaska Island Native" Apparently the author of that letter got all his geography lessons from the TV weather man who shows Alaska in the middle of the Pacific between Hawaii and Southern California.:rolleyes:

Having moved from New England to GA, I feel like I'm from another PLANET!

I do believe we have some Canadian members, altho some of my customers think that long distance calls to Canada are US calls.
