Anyone know how to use a spreadsheet

If anyone knows how to use a spreadsheet or has a website that tells how to use excell properly please give me the link. I host a game on another forum and we are starting the second half of the game and my old was was getting to take to long.
The problem I have is that when i go to add the weekly scores to the point standings i have no idea how to do that since they are in diffrent lines it makes it harder. I found a way to get it to work and that was to add them up in a diffrent cell but then i could not erase the old scores bc then it would subtract the old scores from the new one. Anyone confused I know I am:confused:

so you want the new score to replac e the old score in the same cell? your are going to have to use a formula, I think there is a wizard for it under tools uf that helps, I don't know if it does or not. I took a class over it last fall so I am pretty good with all the features so if it comes down to it just send it to me because its so much eaiser for me to do it rather than explain it but you will probally get it by then:)
 
Ah, spreadsheets. I recall the first time I used a spreadsheet. It was a beautiful late spring afternoon, and my latest fling and I went for a picnic. We spread the sheet out and before ya know it....oh, you mean the computer application? ;)
 
ok i went and looked and could not find a way to do either one of those and Nate that is the problem i have i could not find the wizard anywhere I have excell 97 I have figured a way for me to work it but i will just have to right down my scores when i get them,which that is better anyways so its not all on the computer.
 
Send me a sample, I love fooling with spreadsheets. I'll play with it.
 
Spreadsheets are cool. You can do many things with them. It is fun to get the formulas to work.

When that don't work, fire up the FTP and steal an app that will do the trick.
