Anyone know what this metal rod hanging from under car could be?

My girlfriend drives an 04 Hyundai Elantra. She noticed this rod hanging/dragging from under the car a few months ago.

It drags on the road from time to time...note how low it is to the ground. The car seems to handle fine - no change in the performance from what I can tell. Anybody know what this is? From what I've seen online, it looks like a busted sway bar to me, but I have no idea really. Any idea what this could be?

Looks like some type of tubing. If it was anything serious she'd already be in trouble. Vent line, perhaps. Get her the hell out of a Hyundai.
