This hub-bub about Ann Romney. How can anyone compare her to the average, hate to say it but, "housewife"? She was born into a family of means and married into another of even grater means.
I have serious doubts they know what it's like for a woman to leave work get to a market to buy food, rush home start a meal, spend time with the kid(s),do dishes, laundry, clean the house, scrub a toilet, collapse in bed only to do it again tomorrow. Did Ann do all that or did she have nanny's or other household help?
I look at what my wife , and millions of other wives, have done and continue to do and I'm in awe. I know I couldn't do then or now.

I can't imagine a more misguided comparison. Nobody's lives are the same. Just as there is no way that she could understand what it is like for the average woman to balance all that she does in her everyday life, her life has it's own challenges and benefits. I know that my wife would in no way trade places with Ann Romney. Mrs. Romney certainly has it easier in a lot of ways, but she doesn't have the same joys and blessings that my wife and I do. Their kids certainly have a lot more than ours do, but are they happier? I don't know, and neither do you.

Right you are Ben1, nobody's lives are the same. But doubtful she's ever faced the choice of a vacation or juggling to pay a light bill and still put food on the table that week. I also realize that it's a real byitch for their kids to choose between Havard,Yale or any other college and not worry about tuition costs/student loans.
Yes, she has health problems, so do many, many others. But few have a horse for therapy that cost more than the average person makes in a year.

My point is her problems and those of the average "housewife" cannot be even remotely compared, their saying they understand is foolish as there's no way, imho.

btw, I hold in my hand, like Carnac, my tax return and a check for the bloodsucking IRS. Romney paid 15% IIRC? I'm paying more than 15%. The difference is I don't have 150 million still in the bank and no freakin' elevator for my truck.
