ARCA at Winchester

No thread? I figured I'd start my own. I was there. Holy crud, is that place loud!! It has 37 Degree banking, and concrete walls. Loudest race I've ever been to in my life. Race was rather uneventful, only a couple of cautions, and it was over in an hour and 15 minutes! I like the track, which bills itself as "the worlds fastest half mile". I do think $27 for an ARCA ticket (eepecailly for a 75 minute race) was a little steep though.

I've been there a few times, including last year. Couldn't make it out this year, was at the Cascar race the night before in Ontario. I dont think $27 is a bad price at all for the quality of the show. I love big dirt late model races like Lucas Oil or WoO, but i think they have the most overpriced shows, usually when i go its $35 or $40 for a 50 lap A-Main which is usually over in like 15 minutes. Still worth it to me, but something like Arca, K&N, canadian tire series, usually is cheaper and much better racing IMO, So its a better value. Anyway, yeah,Winchester is a great track, always had a fun time there.

Oh thanks for the reply, Toledo. Yeah, true, WoO is the most overpriced racing out there! So I liked Winchester, but I doubt I'd ever make it out that way again (it was about 400 miles from home). I try to go to one ARCA race a year, and I might just try Toledo next time. Speaking of which, when was the last time there was only 1 ARCA race at Toledo? I've only been following it for about 6 or 7 years, but this was definitely the first time with one race.
