ARCA Finale is scheduled for this Sunday at Toledo. Live coverage on Speed. Hopefully they get it in, it does rain everyday in ohio these days... Interesting that NASCAR Truck Series Champion Jack Sprague is entered.
Will SPEED air on Monday if it's delayed? I mean, they're on contract so they have to, right? Or does that not matter to SPEED since it doesn't in World of Outlaws?
ABC.
WTF? a night race? This has to be a repeat race.
Can someone explain how you can win the championship and not be rookie of the year?
I feel bad for Brennan Poole. Sucks that a guy with money wrecked him.
Just ARCAs rules. If you are the champion you are ineligible for rookie of the year. I guess they want different drivers to get exposure
Poole drives for Venturini, he has plenty of money. But yeah, that sucked. Did Ty really need to do that? Outcome for Ty ended the same anyway. 2nd place, except he looks like a big a**hole instead. Pretty crappy race overall. I understand ARCA wanted to make sure the race didnt get rained out but that was way too excessive. Did they really need to run the first 40 laps under caution? I guess they didn't want to reach 50 so people cant say "they ran a quater of the race under caution before it even really started". At least they actually had a large field show up for a short track race. They have not had that happen too much lately.
Ironic. Richard Childress punches a driver for "racing too rough" and here, Brennan Poole gets wrecked by Childress' grandson.
ARCA had a pretty crappy year this year. They had a short schedule (19 races) which took them til December to get released. Bad fields. Very few good drivers completed the whole schedule (Basham and Hylton were 10th and 11th in points). Hopefully its better next year starting with the schedule. They were at 23 races a few years ago. I think they should have at least 20 races on the schedule.
Wasn't it the last time this year they were at Toledo that Ty spun Kimmel for the win and Kimmel met him in victory lane ripped the checkered flag outta his hand and had a few words for him.
I cant remember the quote from speed51 but it was something like "dont you ever celebrate a win like that again!"
I don't think Ty has ever actually made a clean pass for the win. He usually starts on the pole and wins, has wrecked other drivers, inherits the lead when something has happened to the leader or inherits the lead because his Sprint Cup pit crew gets him the lead in pit stops.
He's got a rude awakening coming when he's on a level playing field in Nationwide or Trucks.
Did Christie Wallace race, if so how did she do, her finishing position?
Ironic. Richard Childress punches a driver for "racing too rough" and here, Brennan Poole gets wrecked by Childress' grandson.
The guy ran into him first so I don't see where he went wrong. Ty was just paying the guy back and for Poole's owner to get madhow many times has he done the same thing?
No, Christie Wallace didn't race.
Chrissy Wallace finished 11th.
Heard some things and have seen a couple things posted about it this week. Rumor is Frank is leaving Kimmel racing and taking the Menards sponsorship with him. Maybe its due to Bill Kimmel putting too much effort on Will Kimmels efforts in ARCA and not enough on Frank? Will has been running really good this year and even got 2nd at Salem. I'd imagine he would be more focused on doing well for his son than for Frank. If it really does happen I hope Frank manages to get a really good deal and get some wins again.
Thx. I haven't followed her career so sorry I missed her name. Did she race up front any? btw is Milka still racing in that series?
Sad part is didn't he leave a fully funded team to go win races with his brother. I don't remember exactly but wasn't the 46 Pork car owned by someone else. I know he won a lot of races with that team and jumped over to the family operation and kinda tanked a little bit. Hopefully he can put something together. I still need to get out and see his street stock deal hes got going on.
