Haven't heard if they're doing the fan vote again. It was great that they let the fans pick the format. Hope they're doing it again. Anyone heard anything?

"A minimum of 25 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers are eligible to participate in the Sprint Unlimited at DIS. In addition to the 2014 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup participants, the field also will include 2014 Coors Light Pole Award winners, as well as former Sprint Unlimited race winners and Daytona 500 pole winners who competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full time in 2014. Any remaining spots will be filled by drivers highest in 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver championship points who are not already eligible."

No more fan vote. They did create a Danica Rule though. I think there may be a thread on here about this too.

"Any former Daytona 500 pole winner who competed full time in 2014". Yep, that's the Danica rule.

At least this year they're doing the clusterfuqualifying for the Daytona 500 instead of the traditional single car, so it'll be a little harder to have a too-good-to-be-true pole winner like we've had the last couple years.

I like the new qualifying...makes it exciting. I just can't to see Patrick at 200 mph again...maybe on the pole again!

Best I can understand........ anyone who has a car and can qualify at over 150 m.p.h., has a valid drivers license , and can read an eye chart from 3 feet , qualifies to run. I heard Earnhardt's grandmother is gonna' be in it.

All joking aside. This has turned into the biggest cluster I have ever heard of. It was supposed to be pole winners from the previous year...... they have turned this into a circus....... but..... that doesn't surprise me in the least........

That event is no longer an "All-Star" one. Its just a free for all.

In my previous post I called it a cluster........ more like an abomination......... just as they have done with 'The Winston'........ or whatever they call it now.... I still call this race coming up......... ' The Busch Clash'.......
