Someone needs to pull him out of the race. He's already wrecked 5 or 6 racecars today.

I took him and Kyle Busch in the fantasy league. I am sure up a creek

Not pointing this statement at anyone, but to set on a message board and say someone should be pulled out of a car is rediculas. If you could do it, you would. This guys get paid very well for what they do, if they aren't wanted or liked by the owner, they are gone in a hurry. Duane

He wasn't even trying to be patient Duane. Everybody went here and criticized David Ragan (who I like) a few years ago. Ragan's gotten a lot better, but there was a point in his career where NASCAR wouldn't let him race. Tony called David "an arrow without feathers" or something. Same thing can be said of Aric Almirolia. He must've caused 5 or 6 wrecks on his own.

I like Aric Almirolia, I really do, but they should've pulled his azz out.

No way for Nascar to justify parking him for reckless driving. If they had those kinds of rules, Harvick and Stewart would have been parked for half of their starts over the last 3 years.

Yep!

For that matter, Earnhardt senior would have never won all those championships if those rules were applied back then too. :D

The situation with Aric Almirola comes down to one thing and one thing only: he had a great run at Bristol and he thought that he could be just as successful at Martinsville, even though they are two completely different monsters. I can guarantee you that Mark Martin is sitting down with him right now teaching him a thing or two. I had the chance to talk to Mark Martin during testing at California Speedway (now Auto Club Speedway of Southern California) and he loves being a mentor to the young kids. Here is an excerpt from an article I wrote:

"I asked Mark whether he felt like he was a mentor to all the young drivers at DEI. His answer came as no surprise. Martin said, 'I sure hope so. I love working with younger drivers and trying to help out. Now Martin Truex Jr. he probably doesn't need much help, but I'll be there for him if he does. Paul Menard is an incredibly talented driver and I hope to help him any way I can and I think everyone knows the way I feel about Regan Smith and Aric Almirola.'"

Hmmm, so Marky thinks that Menard is an incredibly talented driver. I've not see very many other drivers who have said that. Maybe Marky has seen something that we haven't. But I am sure that Mark will have a chat or two not only with Aric, but all the other drivers as well. If anyone wants to learn anything about driving in a Cup race, you won't go wrong learning from Mark.

What else could Mark say in an interview and not cause an uproar at DEI? He ain't stupid...:beerbang:
