I've only been to 4 tracks (Riverside, Las Vegas, Phoenix and California).

I have an opportunity to fly east for the Atlanta race or the Charlotte race. All things considered - which of these two is the best track to watch a race?

Thanks in advance.

Id say Atlanta cause there always seems to be a good race there! But either way I think it will be worth it!

Its really up to you. Those tracks are both great, although Ive never been to either of them. If It was up to me I would go to Atlanta because of the track.

I've been to both tracks but not for a race. I drove a race car on Atlanta for 20 laps with the Jarrett/Farve Driving Adventure. Atlanta is my favorite track so I would say here if your solely going to watch the race. If you want other things to do like visit the race shops and such then Charlotte beats Atlanta hands down. Charlotte is my second favorite track so I would have a hard time deciding as well.

Atlanta is a wonderful track to go to for a NASCAR race. I've always enjoyed myself when I went to that facility. Especially after the reconfiguration. However I've never been to Lowe's Motor Speedway so I couldn't really give you an unbiased opinion about your choice.

Charlotte. Hands down. Traffic in and out is a breeze, every road in the state of North Carolina leads to the track, not a bad seat in the place. Been there many times, and it is a very enjoyable experience. Ford grandstand, section AA, about row 30 or so...you don't even have to turn your head to see the entire track except the very apex of 1 & 2, plus a direct shot down pit road.

Both are equally exciting. Have been to both several times.

If you are planning on driving to the track, Charlotte would be your best bet. The traffic patterns are more organized. Atlanta is by far the worst --- well, except for 'Dega. LOL

Atlanta is the better race track !! But if you have time to spend before & after the race then you could go see the race shops in the Charlotte area!

:D :D :D :D

We're flying in for the weekend race. Hopefully Biffle will qualify for the Sunday race as well.

Lots of folks from East TN on the board ! Me too (originally). I grew up in Oak Ridge and my wife is from Harriman. I spent many a summer evening at the Atomic Speedway :).

Came out here for school and decided to stay....

Well hey howdy neighbor! I grew up near Bulls Gap, live at the mountains in Greene County now. Spent me a few evenings at Atomic as a young'un, and never missed a race for eleven years at Volunteer. Still go there as much as we can. I didn't know you could GET to Cali from here! :p
