Atlanta Race Tuesday 11am

Calling for rain into late Tuesday. It's going to be interesting to see what NASCAR does if both Monday and Tuesday are a wash out.

the track is hosting a 9/11 event on thursday as well....which was supposed to require tuesday/wednesday setup

Brain fart here. Didn't realize until now they're not even going to attempt it tomorrow.

LOL............Ya know it's a Big Storm ,when they go to tuesday right off!:beerbang::beerbang:

Baltimore Grand Prix today, US Nationals and ARCA on dirt tomorrow. Three big races.

Richmond's gonna look like a total joke next week. Baltimore was the real deal.

K&N Pro Series east at Greenville Pickens on Labor day too... Hopefully... Hoping the bad weather stays down in Georgia until tomorrow...

More rain coming that direction from the tropical storm.

Sure wished that storm had come west to Texas.

You sure do! A friend of mine sent some picks of one of yall resouvoirs that we fish....man is it LOW!

Hey TRL

I had to go back to July 5 to find measureable rain here at the house. We had a whole 1/2" --- not enough to wet the ground.

Trees are dying by the thousands.

Here at my home in Leander we have had a total of THREE INCHES since the first of October 2010!!! We have a lawn sprinkler system and with it on for ten minutes every other night, the yard is all dust and dirt!!

There has been a North wind for a day or so and it seems the entire county is on fire.. Praying must not work so good, as everyone I know has told me they are praying for rain..

Betsy:(

This may sound odd but it seems like you guys could sure use a tropical storm or two.

When I told my "needed killin" cuz in Hooouston that we got varying amounts of rain, from 3 to 6+ inches from just Irene he broke down in tears....;)

From what he and other family members say it's really bad, worst they remember.

Boring day here in Atlanta. It's sprinkling on and off just enough to put a damper on outdoor activities.

Now it's stopped. Give it 10 minutes and it will start up again, just like it was all last night. Great for the plants though - 48 hours of light sprinkles/mist.

K&N Pro Series East race at Greenville Pickens Speedway for tonight got rained out. At least ARCA should have no problems getting their race in at DuQuoin. ARCA seems to so rarely get rained out.

Cool, I grew up near DuQuoin and watched the races when the big names raced there (Foyt, Andretti, etc...I think it was USAC back then). They used to have the Hambletonian there too (Horses trotting around the track pulling guys on little carts). Wish I could get back there for a race sometime.

really cool events there. They run ARCA and USAC every labor day weekend. Im usually at those events but im in SC for the K&N east race today.

If I thought I could get in free I would go to the race tomorrow, nothing else to do.

So lets take a poll.......

Will the stands be full(as full as they would've been Sunday), will they be half full or mostly empty?

A few years ago MIS was rained out on Sunday and Monday. The local radio stations broadcast free admission on Tuesday. I literally had to kick people out of my seats and for a Tuesday the place was pretty full.

I'm tempted to call in sick tomorrow - very good tickets will be cheap. I did that once at AMS and got a lower start/finish line ticket for twenty bucks. Sadly - can't do it tomorrow - work is fairly busy.

P.S. as far as the sprinkles in Atlanta - that has all changed - we are getting bucketloads by the minute now. A real deluge.
