Lepage in? Atwood out at the #7? hearing Kevin Lepage, who recently left the Brewco Motorsports in the BGN [Elton Sawyer in the #37 BGN car this week] will take over the #7 Sirius Dodge driving duties this week at Rockingham, Casey Atwood will supposedly go back to Brewco Motorsports and the BGN. Supposedly Lepage will run the final three Cup races in the car and possibly drive the full 2003 season.(10-29-2002)

Finally. It needed to happen a long time ago.

Okay, that would make a lot more sense as to why Lepage left the #37 team. But where exactly is Atwood going with Elton Sawyer signed on for this weekend for the #37?

And is Atwood leaving or was he released?

And why the heck is Evernham hiring Hank Parker Jr. this weekend? What the heck happened between Evernham and Atwood??? Is there something going on behind the scenes we don't know about that caused Evernham to basically push Atwood out of the orginization?

So that's why Kevin left. Good reason, especially if LePage is in the 7 fulltime for 2003. I'm glad to see Kevin getting another chance, he's a good driver, just fell on some hard times with that 4 team.

I think everyone knew there were problems last year when Everham bumped him to the 7 and put Mayfield in Casey's 19. I was surprised Casey didn't leave then, but since I guess rides were hard to come by last year he decided to stay.

Well I guess he has had enough and got out of a bad situation before Evernham could destroy his career more than he already has done.

Ray will live to regret his treatment of Cassey.

Has Jeremy performed any better in the 19? the answer is NO

Go Cassey !!!!!

I hope Casey comes back whether next year or a few years down the road, and shows Evernham he is an idiot.

Greg Biffle who is leading the Busch series has earned 1.1 mill so far this year. Casey made 1.8 mill last and 1.9 mill so far this year. Sure wish I could make that kind of in two years.

Hey Ray! Wanna destroy my career for me?

I don't know if the real question is "Was Casey ready for Cup?" or if it's "Is Casey EVER going to be ready for Cup?" Maybe he is a promising young talent but after two years with not a whole lot to show for it, a change is in order. For both Casey and Ray.

It definitely seems like this is for the best. I think Ray is a tool for the way he treated Casey, then again I'll take that 1.8 mil a year also :D

I agree, eeff, Rays treatment of Casey was bad. I hope he has a good year in Busch. I'd like to see him back in a year or so to kick some Evernham motorsports butt.:takethat: :takethat:

To bad for Casey. Maybe his BGN car owner won't give his ride away and put him in a third rate car.

Casey will proably go to the 27 car again since jamie is leaving that car for cup. I hope Elton keeps the 37 in 2003.
Casey did show some light last year after ray made the annoucment that he was hiriing Jermey. Heck he almost won Homestead last year.
Ray is running Hank in the 91 this weekend just as a R&D car, to try and learn some stuff on the 91 with out being to risky and causing Bill or Jermey any points. The reason why they choose Hank was because of the work Hank has done with Dodge in BGN.
