Wow, I'm shocked. Auto Club Speedway dropped the prices on the weekend package. About $67 per person savings  That means more money for beverages :D
I hope this years race is as good as last years race.
I'll be in Vegas in the first week of March and Fontana in the last week of March. :)
March is good.

I heard they were so desperate to fill those stands, that they were luring illegals over the border, with the promise of free hotdogs.....:D

Same as last year. I think the mileage change and the double file restarts were the key to a better race.

Yes, the same as they did last fall. They just announced about two weeks ago that the spring event would be shortened. They learned a little something from their last race there. I'm all for it by by all means lower that ticket price as well.

What I don't get is the contrast in ticket prices from track to track
Vegas is twice as expensive as Fontana.

If you're track is going to sell out, why not?

Fontana has a serious problem selling tickets, Vegas doesn't.

That said, if a track can't sell more than 40,000-50,000 seats, absolutely no reason for them to have two races... I'm talking specifically about Richmond here.

Trust me Vegas doesn't come close to selling out. I've been there for the last three years.

Bobby,
Can't speak for the other tracks, but in Vegas' case, You can eat at a different restaurant every night , take in 10 different shows, and pi$$ away 3 months salary, before and after a race in the casinos, so thats probably the allure of that place.
Vegas is more like a destination, not just a race.

Exactly why the prices should be cheaper. It's already the biggest weekend for Vegas all year.
I stay away from those casino tables :D

We used to go to Vegas every year, 98-2006, but stopped, gave up our awesome seats , it just got to be too expensive. What a blast it was though for that time frame. Those years that we went it was always sold out, even when the weather was crappy. What i liked about that weekend was the dirt track had the Woo and the 3/8 mile track also had racing, so every day/night that we were there i could go to the track! :D
