how much is food where you live?

mcdonalds quarter pounder meal $2.99

loaf of bread at the store 68 cents

7 piece chicken at kfc $5.00

I went to Washington D.C last year and it was over 7 bucks for a hotdog and fries

Our food prices are very much in line with yours. We were there in OKC in June and did a lot of shopping because we had lots of people staying with my folks. I'll take your gas prices though. :) You gotta stay away from those hot spots when buying hotdogs.

dany relly know zoe......

i know i can get a 12 back of drinks for under 2 bucks (sams at wal-mart)

and at realfoot lake. cans are 35 cents and not 50 cents. (at one place)

I'll be honest Zoe, the concession stand prices are outrageous.

KFC is pretty much the same throughout the south, and I HATE McDonalds. Food poinoning 2x from them just turned me off.

Taco Bell is also reasonable.

I got food poisoning twice from McDonalds myself, so I don't know how much they charge for quarter pounders anymore either. I know I paid a pretty big price for the last time I ate there. Sitting on the toilet at 2 o'clock in the morning praying "God, don't let me die like Elvis" is a pretty steep price to pay. I usually eat Subway. It's around $5.99 for a 12" sub. Add $1.50 for chips and a drink. Milk is usually around $2.99 a gallon. Gas is $1.39 a gallon most places.

Gas here is like $1.62:(

One time when I was back in Georgia like 5 years ago, gas prices where around .40 a gallon. Geesh!

Gasoline here in the North Texas area ranges from $1.38 to $1.44 for regular unleaded, and you add $.10for mid-grade and $.20 premium.
Zoe, I am assuming you are buying store brand bread, because the name-brands here in our area range from $1.69 to $1.74 (Wal-Mart prices). Add about 5-10 cents for the grocery store chains. I don't eat at McDonald's or Taco Bell. You can get a Jumbo Jack (single patty burger w/lett, tom, pick, onions, etc) for $.99 each. Not a bad buy when you are on a budget! The fries and coke is what costs!!!:)

Gas prices here in southern cheeseheadland are $1.50 to $1.54 a gallon depending on where you go.

MacDonald's gave me food poisoning also. (It's a plot by Ronald to take over the world. Call Mulder and Scully)
I"m a Wendy's girl. Love their mandarin chicken salad.

Thanks for the reminder 4X, SUBWAY is great! And Zoe, if you get a 12" for yourself, you will have 2 meals or split with a fellow JROTC member.

nascarwoman, you may be right...let's report them to CSI, hehehe

I spend about 200 a week,But I have a house full of women to feed.Give me a German Bolgna sandwich with tomato, onion, mustard any day over a Mickey Toxic Burger.Throw a big dill on the side with a Ice tea.;)
