We had a bad ice and freezing rain storm yesterday and last night. I lost power
last night around 10:30pm. This morning it was still off so I desided to wait till
noon to go to the emergancy room. When I left power was still off.
Got to emergancy room and checked in and was put in little room. Took off
everything and put on one of those things that don't come together in back.
Then waited and waited and waited etc. Young female intern came in and looked
at wound and called her boss. She came in and looked at it. They went away
and later came back and said because I'm a diabetic they didn't want to operate
on it. They maid me a appointment at the wound clinic in 11 days where the
doctor there will figger out what to do. Came back home to a trailer with
POWER (and heat).
So you didn't get rid of me after all.

Glad to hear the juice is back on.

I always hate it when the medical type professionals start passing ya around. These days they call it a "referral" and it is annoying as the dickens to me. I generally go see a doc about once every two or three years, and I want whatever is broken to be fixed.

Few years back got myself a hernia, don't ask. Knew dem well what it was so I call up my "primary" physcian and tell 'em, "I got a hernia I need fixed". He say come see me tomorrow aft. So I do. Go in the little room with all the drawers and the uncomfortable bed and the doc walks in and say drop trou. So I do/ He takes one look and says "You have a hernia". Imagine my surprise. Then he says "Go see this doctor. I 'll give you a referral."

What an amazingly efficient system this is!! <_<

Anyways, hang in there Tiny. See ya in print!

I hate those little gowns that don't close in the back. There's never enough to cover everything.

Hang in there, Tiny. Glad to hear you've got power and heat.

Isn't it wonderful how the docs pass you around like a piece of meat that's gone bad?

Hope you get fixed up soon.

Moving this to Chit-Chat. :)

11 days seems like a long time to me but we all know the run around as mentioned.

I wasted a month and a half on antibiotics before I was even referred to a podiatrist.

Hang in there Tiny.
