looks like it!! it kinda looks like a huge screw. I am not a car person so I have no idea what it really is does nto look like a spring like the TV said.
 
Could be part of a hub or spindle from a wheel. Looks like part of it has been polished so it could be part of a bearing assembly. Who knows what it is.:)
 
It is also visible in the first pic - near the front corner of the 45 car. Can't tell what it is.... Anybody?????
 
Very cool pictures.

That debris there is very interesting, I first thought it was a bit of sheet metal sticking-out from Rusty's car, but looking at it closer I'm not sure what it is.

Could it be a piece of ductin for cooling the brakes?
 
its a brake duct.......thats what it looks like to be.....probably got snagged on kyle's car and yanked off........were rusty hit is where the duct work usually is on a cup car.
 
Its a water bottle, Rusty threw it at Kyle as they wrecked,. Just kidding. I think it is part of the brake system. maybe thats what caused Rusty to get into Kyle.
 
Cool shots. I like the first one with Rusty's car coming off the ground. I couldn't tell on TV that his car went up like that.

Could it be some kind of hose connecter of anykind cause it kinda looks like it.?
