I know most times I just gaze in to my ever trusty crystal ball, but the dern thing has been fogging up lately so here's the list of backmarkers for Phoenix. As you can see, there's a bunch of them. Am going to wait a bit before seeing if kicking the crystal ball a few times will help to tune it in.

Six spots at the back of the pack are up for grabs.
 
I really hope that Hornaday makes it. Wimmer should do good. I don't really know why Harmon is going to try a Winston Cup race. He can't even finish a Busch race.
 
Change it.....Lance Hooper will be in the 90 instead of the 47 as listed.....now it sets like this....probably more changes to come

Tough field to crack for sure.
 
8 of the 51 entries are packing early. Not sure if even Christian in the 39th spot is safe from getting bumped.....

But if 8 of the guys listed behind him make the race on time, the regulars not making the race on time would bump him out of provisional land.

Does that make ANY sense?
 
Bodine qualified 12th last year.....figure he's in.

Harvick, Kenseth, Robby Gordon, Busch, and Sadler all used provs last year.

Throw in all the unknowns and this one is WAY up in the air. About the ONLY sure things are that the Ware Racing 51 is wasting tires and will probably withdraw along with Morgan Shepherd.
 
Too many choices to make, I would like to see Raines, Musgrave, Hooper, and Wimmer make this race though.
