Baja rules

Looking for a set of rules for the classes that run in the Baja 500, and 1000 races.
What is even tougher than the rules is getting your vehicle through inspection. Trust me, they will find something that will cost you a bundle. From experience.

Dad has been talking about building a truck and doing some off road races like that, so we was just wondering about the rules and all the classes and such.

So it's pretty tough to get past tech?

You can give them a call to get copy of rules, etc.
After accessing the site then click on Results for Baja 1000 and you can see the different Classes of vehicles, plus the 2007 finishing order.

Remember, the location of the Baja race is a rough area. Yeah, the inspection is tough and the local costs charged to bring the vehicle up to speed are very high. I know a team that thought their roll bar was more than sufficient but it failed inspection. It cost over $2000 to have it changed by the locals to pass inspection. The team worked day and night to fix other things so that it would pass inspection.

Beccy and Robyn Gordon did not race as their truck failed inspection.
