Is is just me or is this a waste of air space for Speed. I don't know about you guys but seeing a bunch of rich guys overpaying for refurbished cars makes me sick to watch. What's you guys/gals take.

I love the Barrett Jackson auctions. It's neat to look at these cars, even though I can't buy 'em. Window shopping, if you will.
Barrett Jackson is better than Pimp My Ride marathons.
The only B-J auction I watch from first to last is Phoenix in January. Some of those cars having me drooling.
I like BJ.

In that case, no I don't like BJ. It's a huge waste of airtime. Then again, so are many things that air during the week on SPEED. Wreaked, Barrett Jackson, Pimp My Ride, etc that are just stupid. I think SPEED would make much better use of their airtime by running classic races. Not just NASCAR either. Classic F1 and Indy 500 races would be awesome.
After all, it's about SPEED. Not old men with too much money buying cars they drive about as often as they have sex.

I like looking at some of it once in a great while. I totally agree they should use this channel to show RACING! It would be great to be able to watch classic races, even earlier in the season races instead of just one replay on Thurs. There's so many forms of racing they could be showing and all we get are these stupid shows.

I should clarify that I don't "hate" Barret-Jackson.
I just don't like that it takes over the channel when they show it. Some of the cars are cool, but I think BJ would be better if they just did a 1 or 2 hour highlight episode showing off the best cars from the show.
Otherwise it goes on for days with a never-ending stream of rebuilt Cameros and GT500s.

I enjoy the muscle cars, don't believe the money they bring but truly enjoy them. There is nothing like hearing that motor roar, tires squealing then grabbing second and being pushed back in the seat,,not even sex.
Cars of the 50's are unique but my true love is those of the late 20's and the 30's. Caddy's, Packard, Duesy's, Cord Auburn's etc. True works of art.
