Based just on the excitement factor, which 2 drivers should race for the win at Michigan?

IMO, Michigan is a boring race, but a little beating and banging on a restart could change that. Here's some pairs that probably won't drive like gentleman if it comes down to them, and it could provide a little excitement.

Newman and Edwards fighting for the win and a wildcard spot could end in fireworks. Newman has some unfinished business with Carl, so that would do the trick for me.

Then there's Carl and Kyle, who got banged and pushed by Carl several times at WGI. A Kyle win probably gets him in the chase, and Carls time is running out to get 2 wins to have a chance.

Kyle and Brad. Is Kyle pissed that Brad didn't 'give him that' on the last lap of the oil slicked WGI race?

Logano and Carl are in the slim hopes catagory to make the chase, and Joey may not have calmed down from Carl's dive bomb that spun Logano in the NW race.

Then there is JJ and Matt. I doubt Kenseth races JJ with much respect if it's down to the win, and just talk about a flat tire when it's all over.

It's Michigan, so I'm trying to look at the bright side.

The best thing any of those who guys can do, is just race to win. Focus on beating the entire field.
The four wild card contenders are not only trying to beat each other for an all important win, everybody in the top 10 wants to win for more bonus points entering the chase.
In the next four races the wild card hopefuls will also be trying to beat Johnson, Brad K, and Hamlin the guys who have been better at getting wins so far.

Routine points racing may be the factor for Gordon, Busch, and Newman (or Edwards with along with a win)

Personal vendettas should not be an issue.

So ..is Tony going to start his winning streak this weekend ? Or when ?o_O

Restart, Green white checker
P1- Gordon
P2- Bad Brad
P3- Newman
P4- KyBu

Sort of self explanatory.
Would be interesting, IMO.

Race like gentlemen? If the reference to acting like gentlemen means one driver deliberately wrecked another, then that is neither gentlemanly nor is it racing or part of the sport. If leaning on each other to slow them, or push them up the hill a little, or beating and banging on each other, that goes with the territory. When it comes to the last two laps, tuxedos go out the window and boxing shorts and gloves go on but deliberate wrecking another driver has no place in the sport, anytime.
I'd like to see a finish like Kurt Busch and Ricky Craven at Bristol, or one like this last SUnday. It doesn't matter who it is, as long as they race to win and not to deliberately wreck the other guy.

Newman? Why not put Gordon behind Bowyer?
Newman behind gordon and next to KyBu who's behind Brad who's next to gordon. Hell I just like it, think it would be a good race. KyBu left rears Brad and sideswipes Newman to try and make a hole while Newman has Gordons rear wheels off the ground and the best (luckiest) driver wins.

Excitement factor?.......Kyle has to racin' someone....and against Gordon would be great but nerve wracking for me as I like them both

I say Brad against Kyle. Brad took him to school at Talladega, he showed him last week what goes around comes around so I have no doubt who'd come out with a win. Good things come in 3's;)
But isnt Kez already in?...I thought it was about a WC showdown?

Who is in the 55 car this weekend? Mild mannered Mark or punt Tony to the tires Vickers... ;)

There's a bunch of reasons for these guys to race hard headed and take everything and give nothing. I like the way Newman put it with Carl. I trusted him, and he spun me. Now he can't trust me. It's much like what Brad said after WGI. Kyle dived bombed me on the restart, and if I didn't let him in, I would get wrecked. Later, he ran me to the grass and didn't let me in and got spun.

I don't think these pairs will give each other an inch. Some are tired of guys going too far and taking advantage of them in the name of going for the win. Others think it's all about them, and they don't care what it cost anyone else. You pick which is which.

Brad is earning respect ...FAST. I think Kyle has to be a little pissed at him after a couple of incidents..Talladega and WG......its gonna be interesting like you say

Many of Kyle's spectacular moves involve playing chicken with other drivers. If they don't back off and let him in, they get wrecked because Kyle picks those spots carefully, like being on the inside. He made a mistake coming back on the track and playing chicken with Brad again when he was a foot or more inside him. Brad was now the one in a position to say 'if he doesn't let me in, HE gets wrecked'. When Kyle can accept losing a game of chicken as well as he takes credit when he wins, he'll be on his way to being a man.

I hope Kyle calms down, because if he comes with payback for that incident, Brad will respond when it suits him best.

Everybody - including Pee Wee - knows that there is no love lost between Kyle and Brad...
