Sorry could not get the link to work. Casey was a terror in ARCA. He was the real deal like his cousin. His life was cut so short. I remember how good he was. As race fans we were robbed of his death. God took him from us too soon. Gods speed Casey, we miss you and remember you and know you are in a better place now.

Very sad. It's pretty amazing how much tragedy has surrounded NASCAR at different points in time and in a variety of forms.. In retrospect, from the early 90's thru the mid 2000's the hits just kept on coming.. You can extend the earlier date further and further back if you really wanted to.

I Forgot all about Kasey.. and Ernie, for that matter. I'm surprised their names don't come up more and Chase rises through the ranks...

The HANS device has done wonders

Casey was supposed to take over when Bill retired. I remember clearly when the cancer took him. I find myself calling Chase Casey quite a bit of the time. RIP Casey.

1993 until 2004 was a rough time for stock car racing, at least in terms of death. From Davey and Alan to Neil to Dale to Blaise Alexander, Eric Martin and Ricky Hendrick, we went through a pretty dark decade.
