I just watched an episode of Behind The Music Remastered. This one was on Ted Nugent. It originally aired in 2012. I already knew a good deal of what they said on there. I knew that the left, and the media as a whole, (leaning heavily to the left, of course) really don't like him, but I was at least a little surprised at how skewed the reporting and commentary was overall on the show.

Ted Nugent is kind of a hero to a lot of conservatives, gun owners, hunters and supporters of various extreme nutjob stuff he espouses. As many of you know, I happen to be a conservative and a very strong proponent of the second amendment and most all that entails. He's also has a lot of really strange ideas. I agree with him on a lot of things and I can certainly respect his willingness to stand up for what he believes in. I just can't agree with anybody 100%. Shoot, I don't even agree 100% with everything I thought just a couple of years ago. An unexamined life is not worth living, after all

The thing that I thought was odd, was that there was a really long commercial for ASPCA in the middle of the episode. I'm sure that was not a coincidence.

He was on That Metal Show a couple months ago. Honestly, I can't stand to hear him talk. He's the most self-centered, egotistical, obnoxious jackass of all time. Make Gene Simmons look like a saint, and I loathe Gene Simmons.

Isn't he supposed to be dead or in prison by now.

Exactly. He gets in the way of his own message and he thinks he is getting the message across more by being such a narcissistic ass.

Well, a lot of rockers end up that way. But, Ted is hard core against drugs and alcohol. That's helped him stay out of most legal trouble. His biggest vices are self worship and sex, which is in a way a form of self worship as he feels he deserves to have sex with any woman he wants whether or not he is married or in a "committed relationship" at the time or not.

Not a fan, but I gotta give it to the guy. He had one hit like 40 years ago, and we're still talking about him.

I always go with just STFU and play me a damn song.
Don't care if it Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, The Dixie Chick's, or Ted Nugent, your politics isn't what made me ever listen to you.

Aside from his political zealousness his ego has always been his biggest problem to me. He could have been a lot bigger without it.
