So now we've seen all three networks at work calling the races.

Who did you enjoy the most?

I am partial to FOX and the Staff they have. Sorry Andy I know you don't agree.:D

It's hard to have ESPN included because they have only done one race so far, and a boring one at that. I'd wait until after Bristol to judge them.

Unlike some I enjoy the crew chiefs chattering while the engines sound. On the flip side I enjoy DW and LR's shenanigans in the booth. Tough call. I too will wait till after the night race.

ESPN kind of got the short end as they got Indy and Pocono back to back to start their coverage. Luckily I have a book to read on conservative tax reform to keep the excitement during the first 2 of ESPNs snoozefest races.

I voted for TNT --- not because I loved them so much, but I disliked them LESS than the other 2 choices. :p

I loved TNT's coverage especially when they moved Ralph to the booth. :beerbang:

FOX? I can see the race and I don't need LarryMac and Jaws screaming at me.

ESPN should just sell their rights over to Versus or TNT or someone who cares about the quality of their broadcasts.

ESPN's also aired more races than anybody this year because they have exclusive rights to the Nationwide races. If they haven't figured out what their problems are by now, they never will. This is their third year in the sport and it's their third year of suckiness.

That's only because with their 6 races they didn't have time to get on your nerves like the others. And with the Weber incident the last 2 were changed up.

I don't care for ESPN coverage. I don't care for Fox or TNT announcers. Tho some are good. If I could pick the announcers that does all 36 races it might be better.

And Andy there's you an idea for a new pole. List each of the 3 positions by category and let each pick one from each group to vote on the best trio. If the poll feature can do multiple categories, IDK.

I voted TNT just because of their Wide Open Coverage, and I because I hate their broadcasters LESS than the other guys.

The problem I had with WOC is it still tended to draw my eye to it away from the race. But then not much was happening on the track anyway.
As to their broadcasters Captain Kangaroo and Howdy Dowdy would look like geniuses compared to the Fox/ESPN crew.

I pretty much liken all of them together. Where one is bad, the others do well. It really is all in what we get used to. There are some on this forum that have never had to rely on spotty newspaper reporting to even find out the results of a race.

I voted TNT, especially since they got rid of Weber. No replace Wally and it will be all right.

What did Weber really do to get sidelined, anyone???

TNT wall to wall coverage was by far the best coverage of the year.

Weber was more or less canned after he got into a shouting match about Mayfield with fans at a hotel.

You know, as much as we complain about the current TV coverage, I wouldn't give it up for what we had 15 years ago.

Back then, only the major races were live. The others were either not shown, or edited down, and shown days/weeks later.

Actually, 15 years ago all the races were shown. Now 25 years ago is another story but that is when the sport really started it's boom period and that was thanks to ESPN who began to air most of the races.

I know most remember Bob Jenkins, but Larry Neuber was a part of that beginning as well and I liked him.

It was more like 20 years ago not all races were shown on TV. Pocono and Charlotte were the last 2 holdouts on having both their races in live national TV.

I was forced to vote for TNT althought I like the Fox guys better. The presentation of the race and lack of agenda by TNT tipped the scales over Fox. I won't even consider ESPN unless you want to just count the ORP NW race

The nail in the coffin for ESPN is their constant playback of The Black Eyed Peas. I hate that band, they haven't released a decent song in 5 years. And I just can't see where it fits in a NASCAR broadcast. But that's ESPN for you.

I like Where is the Love, but that song is like 7 years old. Its also the only BEP song I can name.

That's the song I was talking about. ;)

Their new songs annoy the hell out of me. I flip the channel every time they come on. The other one that's really gotten on my nerves is the one who's on 5 times an hour every hour on every radio station... Lady Gaga. That **** isn't music and I couldn't stand it even if I was drunk in a bar or club.

I had to text one of my female friends to ask what a "disco stick" is lol. I guess I zone out when the song comes on because it never really clicked in my mind like it should of.

What I don't get is why a Vanessa Carlton song is banned for "suggestive lyrics" but they allow Lady Gag's song about giving blow jobs to air every 15 minutes on FM radio.
