Best driver in the subway fresh fit 500

Has to be Denny headcase Hamlin imo, he had to start in the back and slowly worked his way up to ultimately fighting for 2nd coming to the checked flag

He schooled Brad who's head was all about getting in Jimmies head. A mental fixiation vendetta that loves riding Jimmie high when able (and in both cases Jimmie has out finished the desperate maneuver). Brad maybe the best student of driving, but locking in on JJ left him open for Hamlin to pull off the slide job.

Many have caused crashes trying to chop the Phoenix back stretch, but Brad blinked and Hamlin took the line from him. Dennys 2nd daddy move of the month, Brad's submission was like an Adult taking candy from the child. Jimmie wisely just concentrating on getting the best finish rather than a Brad vendetta had the poise to keep the 2nd spot.

To Brads credit he probably learned a lesson.

I disagree on it being edwards. I honestly think if dale jr would have beat the 99 out of the pits on the last stop he would have won it. Jr seemed to feel the same way. Jr did get shuffled back but that was because he tried too hard on a restart, I think he knew that was his only shot at leading after that. passing was so tuff that even the guy who controlled the restart had a huge advantage. do I think jr was the best driver of the race NO, I will say who the heck knows who was the best driver. to me it looked like the top 20 cars were IROC cars and the race was on pit road.

hehehe [btw Brad is SHRUB JR].

I'd have a hard time choosing anyone other than Edwards. Wins the race, leads the most laps, had the highest driver rating.

135 rating, I believe. Everyoe is talking about Jr getting screwed it the pits, but he blew that restart bigtime.

I've got to go with Hamlin. He put on the show that everyone thought Kyle was going to put on.

Keselowski would've beat Carl if he wasn't going out of his way to screw Jimmie Johnson. For a while, I thought BradK was in Jimmie's head but it's starting to look like Jimmie's getting in Brad's head as well. Those two are going to have a solid rivalry if this keeps up.

if you are Brad wouldn't you try to get into jimmie's head?? I sure would. lets say there is 5 laps to go and your the 48 car don't you think knowing the 2 is back there and knowing he is willing to put both his car and yours in a tuff spot to win the race cause you to have something else to think about rather than going as fast as you can. This is how you make a driver slip, maybe get them to look in the rear view mirror and loose focus. its part of the game, none was better at it than dale Sr. I am here to tell you brad K is one heck of alot more calculating of a racer than most people think. yeah he is young and says some stuff to the media that makes some people mad.

After reading Kimmels2001s I am changing my vote to Carl Edwards, honorable mention to Hamlins. Besides Kimmels is the yahoo league commissioner and I dont want no problems.
Kimmels is the bestest

Was that 1 or all 3 Dogs licking Kimmel? ;)

Thats just wrong.

In cases like that I always use temporary contract dog(s) to perform those duties, Hollywood would call the use body doubles. The protocol is a win for the contract dogs as well, as it pads their resume.

The Trinty is the genuine gold and to valuable, I wouldn't want to risk corrupting the open dialouge we have amongst ourselves. Subjecting one to a bad taste could and would justly subject me to poor counsel from them, as well as killing the simple fun talk.
From the Avator photo the dog is middle aka Mr Happy is the male, and the two by his side are his babes. Their inner circle is harmonious and I intend to keep it that way.

Edwards...played with Johnson/Keselowski while saving some fuel and put the ********* hammer down and drove away from them both when he had to. Won the first race for Ford in the new car while he was at it

BRAD WAS THE GREATEST. How was that FB???

There's a lot of "shoulda", "coulda" and "ifs" going on here that really don't matter now.
There's only room for one car on Victory Lane ;)

Nah, the turd needed all that help from Brad to win. Even Carl said so, and added that Brad really didn't race him for the win. Pity is a beautiful thing.

I think Brad pushed Carl out but then Jimmie got up along side Brad and the 99 was able to pull away while the 2 and the 48 were side by side.

Yep. Brad handed Carl the win and all he had to do was not screw it up again.

Brad is the greatest, Brad is the goodest, Brad is the man.

Carl had to be the best at PIR, but I have to take my hat off for Mark Martin. At 54 he won the pole, lead 75 laps and though he finished 21 he still finished. Most drivers his age would be watching the race from a rocking chair. Would love to see him win 1 this year.

Were you pulling for the 99?
:D

He was in a Ford, so yeah. Brad was fast, but there was no way he could pass Carl after that push. He could have chosen to dive down 3 wide, but probably made the right choice. He also made Denny's banzai move work. If Brad didn't back off entering that turn to give some room, Denny and JJ would have been in the wall and Brad would have had 2nd. If I see him roll over like that again I'll be real pissed. JJ gave Brad some props for what he did, and Denny just talked about what a great move he made.

Denny was lucky that crazy move didn't backfire and wipe out half the field.

I rewatched it, and Brad gave him a ton going in, and then locked them up to avoid sending him up into JJ. It's the backing up going in part that annoys me, because Denny's rear quarter would have come across his bumper. Knowing Brad, if that was for the win Denny would have wrecked.
