NBC play-by-play announcer Allen Bestwick broke his leg during a hockey game and will miss Sunday's NASCAR race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Pit reporter Bill Weber will replace Bestwick in the booth Sunday, NBC said.


Bestwick broke his leg Wednesday while playing hockey near his Rhode Island home.

Hockey? I heard he and BP got in a fight over who gets to say "Dale Earnhardt Jr." the most at Talladega and BP fell on him. Wally needs to keep these guys in line.

First of all YOU'RE AN *****! Let me chuck a puck right at your leg, or stick check ya...that chit hurts! Second, he has to go by doctor's orders....you know they stand and watch the race, to do their play-by-play. I sure as hell wouldnt do it; not for 4 straight hrs.
