According to Nielsen Media Research, the NASCAR Busch Series race held July 20 at Gateway International Raceway outside of St. Louis attracted 888,000 viewers for the Saturday evening telecast on TNT. That weekend, the race outdrew the Trans-Am race on CBS (643,000); NHRA Drag Racing on ESPN2 (456,000); the IRL on ESPN2 (386,000) in a head-to-head match-up; and Formula One (284,000), according to the figures released by Nielsen Media Research.

Saturday night should have a race on TV always,This is a great time slot.

I am sorry but the bets race of the whole weekend was the IRL race i don't see why they don't get better ratings it is the best racing around including NASCAR WC

i find IRL sort of boring pettybenson and maybe some feel the same as me

why do you say that?? They have more passing than Winston Cup has had latly and most there races finish with a very close margin of victory the race last week there was 10 cars all in a pcak fighting for the win in the last 30 laps one person would take the lead then fall back kinda like the restirtor plate races and normaly the IRl does that maybe not with 10 cars but 4 or 5.
But IMO the IRL has the best racing right now, but i am a NASCAR fan first.
