Good lap for Mears. Hope he can back it up in the race.

I must admit that I "watched" it on racesast...looks like it's going to be another great race!

Maybe Jimmy will be back full time in BGN Yellow next year:rolleyes:

Sounds like Casey and the entire #66 team put forth a tremendous effort to garner that starting spot,

CASEY MEARS, #66 PHILLIPS TROPARCTIC DODGE, QUALIFIED SEVENTH. "I feel really good about it. The guys did a heck of a job. We came in at the end of practice and we were one of the first guys to go out and we probably had the most to change on the car. We had a misfire and a little bit of an imbalance. We changed the rear springs, the bar. Then we changed everything that had to do with the motor: the carburetor, the distributor, the coils, and the ignition box. We changed everything that had to do with the miss because we had a misfire the whole time in practice. I have to hand it to the guys. They got all that done, got on the scales, got it all evened out, got it through the tech line and got it out just in time to go qualify. It's a good lap and a good day in general when you can run up front like we did. It's fun and I hope we can stay up there in the top-five."

Biffle on the pole. Wow, that's a surprise. About as much of a surprise as the announcement that Jimmy Spencer was released from the #41.

Biffle is lucky to have had the opportunity to run in Busch and win a championship. I know he's been anxious to move up since his former truck teammate went up to Cup and has been having success there. Biffle is a solid driver, so he should have a good run next year.

All I have to ask is can Cup handle ANOTHER Roush car? I think this is starting to get out of hand. LOL.

Those Roush guys are good, Biffle is going to be strong next year in cup. If they can run the way they have this year with 5 cars look out.

Remember all Greg Biffle has to do to win the championship is leave Phoniex with 180 points. Right now he is 212 points out front. The shocker for me is that Roush didn't give him a truck and Cup ride for the weekend. Greg could have done a repeat of last year.

HoHum another Jeff Burton win....my family and I are going to the Celebrate Freedom air show at Owens field in Columbia SC on Saturday. We really enjoyed it last year and got some great pictures. I love the Busch series but when the Cup drivers enter they steal the show from the big stars. Just notice on Saturday how many times those Cup regulars get airtime versus the Busch boys. Might not be as bad this weekend, since Biffle and Keller are working pretty hard on each other for that Championship. Go Jason!!
