Greg Biffle to Jimmie Johnson: 'Please be careful'

CONCORD, N.C. - Greg Biffle had an admonition for Nextel Cup series driver Jimmie Johnson Monday: "Please be careful."

Asked if he believed Johnson when he said he would give competitors more room this season, Biffle said, "He better or somebody is going to break his neck. He caused three restrictor-plate wrecks last year.

"You got to be careful. We don't want to hurt anybody. How would you like to be the guy who caused the wreck and hurt somebody?"

Biffle said he was likely just as guilty of having caused a wreck on a restrictor-plate track.

"Gosh, you can't cause one at every race," he said. "I think he caused one at every race last year and that's hard to do.

"After the second one, I'd be saying, ‘Hey I'm not going to be around anybody.' "
 
Well I don't think this article should be posted. Especially when everyone starts chiming in bashing MY two favorite drivers. Y'all are so unfair to be putting them down like that. I'm going to pout. Or, is that poot? I can never remember... :growl:
 
C'mon folks, you know that this is typical journalistic crap in making someone say something critical of someone else. Those of you who are admonitioning this thread are more than likely to be JJ fans and you should know that JJ isn't the only person that this has happened to. The article did what it wanted and that was to generate opinions either fer or agin the whole subject. I do think though that JJ is hearing this type of criticism about his driving at those plate races and he will think about it. Not sure he will do anything different, but that's what the sport is all about. Maybe JJ will put a bumper to GB and we will see some really old fashioned auto racing. :)
 
I like both drivers, but its funny watching 2 and 4 poke at each other, I guess its all just sour grapes.
 
If I wanted to see "cream puff" racing, I would sure steer clear of Cup racing or anything NASCAR!!!!!
Let the boys race. But, I do agree, please, don't do stupid stuff on the track!!
