Big bird lands at DFW

read about that...apparently it only had 484 people on it...something about being so big the cost is really high per ticket...if I read that right.

I'm waiting to see it go overhead.I live in the flightpath for DFW.When the wind is in the right direction I see alot of the big ones over my house.This one came in a little north of my house.Seen some pics from a guy that works for American.1 of the pics showed the plane on ground level and you could see 90% of the American MD80 underneath it in the backround.

Sure is big. And Im jealous you live in the flight path. Used to live around the airport up here. Loved hearing them go over the house. My girlfriend did not. lol.
 
We have 3 Emirates planes fly into Auckland from Oz everyday for the last 2 years.
Big but I wouldn't say my favourite.

Emirates flies in DFW tomorrow from Dubai -- Oct. 1.

Those are too big for me. More like cattle cars than planes. Oh, I know it's luxurious if you pay, but I don't
have that kind of money.

The video said $3100 per ticket round trip...i've not priced international, but DAMN.
 
When Boeing was asked about this plane, they answered simply ... "We could have built it 30 years ago. We didn't because it wasn't a good idea then, and it still isn't now."

I have that and our small local airport is 1 street over from my house.Always have something overhead.
 
Like the Concorde after a while the uniqueness will wear out. That and the maintenance costs killed the Concorde. Have to wait and see if the passenger count remains high or drops off.
