i'm thinking two, maybe three more drivers will turn in to longshots after this weekend. kurt, jimmie, and kyle would be my winning trifecta!

harvick, stewart, and kenseth 1-2-3 at kansas.

looks like beautiful sunshine so the only threat is fuel mileage.

Only time will tell. My perfect weekend would be Kurt taking out Carl and Kyle get's caught up in the wreck too. Then Brad and Matt can't avoid the wreck and run into Kyle.

After that Jr. wins, Jimmie second, Harvick third, Jeff fourth.

The way the standings are shuffling each week, it is hard to say. At this point anyone in the top 9 has a shot....but I think the number that has a shot will lessen each week....

Theres no reason Gordon, Kyle Busch, Kenseth or Keselowski could'nt have a good day here and Tighten everything back up! They all run well here. Even the Jr fans have hope if everyone but Jr runs outta fuel on the last lap.....well if Jr's on the lead lap anyway.

Only 19 pts between the top nine with Seven races to go They all are still in the Hunt!

Lots can change with this new points system. Before last weekend's race all you heard was non-stop "Jimmie Johnson has never been this low in the Chase before" and then he moves to fifth in points in one race.

This new system rewards race winners more than before, but took away the reward for top 5's and 10's.

JJ wins so many chase races, this new system is just what he needed. Every time the point leader wins a race, all the consistancy guys need to lower their average finish goal. If JJ goes on one of his win streaks, he'll quickly open up a huge lead.

14 points now is like 60 or 70 under the old system, but max point days can get you caught up quicker than before.

Jimmie needs to be worried about Kurt going on a hot streak. He usually follows a win up with several good runs.

I've been thinking the same thing. The #22 team is onto something good. Now the #2 team needs to find out what it is. Kez needs to go on another win/ top 3 streak or he'll be way back by the time Homestead rolls around.

It was my understanding that the 22 team borrowed information from the 2 team at Dover to get the 22 running up front, remember the 2 team would have had a pretty darn good run if a clump of rubber had'nt knocked the power steering belt off.
I don't remember off hand how well the 22 ran at Kansas earlier in the year Butt the 2 Won that one did'nt it? Looks like the 22 team might be picking thru the 2's notes again this week....I expect a good run from both of them excluding driver problems on the 22's side.
