Sorry about the delay. We spent an extra day in Dallas --- visiting some friends and doing some shopping. Boy, are there lots of places to spend money in Dallas. LOL

Got to the track for q'ing on Friday --- the wind was blowing so hard it was a wonder anyone could stay on the track. I would guess that the main grandstand was better than half full. I think there were more people there for q'ing than some tracks hold for a race. It was packed.

Saturday was a miserable day in more ways than one. The "racing" sucked and the wind made sitting in the stands even worse. The regular drivers were cussing out the "back of the pack" beginners like crazy. And well they should have. Some of them were down-right dangerous. The 5 car was the class of the field and should have won. When he was black-flagged, the crowd was stunned and then angry. Saturday was a sorry excuse for racing.

Sunday wasn't much better except for the last few laps. All the drivers I listened to were cussing their inability to pass because they'd get tight behind another car. There were some that went too far on changes and got so loose they couldn't drive. The best part of the whole day was that the wind had died down and made it possible to enjoy the "race" without freezing your ass off.

For once, the traffic out of the speedway was a breeze. We left at the end of the race and were eating dinner at our hotel by 5:30 ---- absolutely no problems at all.

Well I'll be danged...how ya doing? Glad to hear you had fun...:)
