1. Jason Leffler - #0 NETZERO High Speed Pontiac, who was at odds with Truck Series owner over taking the #0 Haas-CNC Racing Pontiac Ride, has split with Smith and former #0 driver, Jack Sprague will drive the #2 ASE Dodge for Ultra Motorsports and Smith for the rest of the season. Sprague has signed to drive a 2nd IWX Team Truck in 2004. Dennis Conner is the #2 Truck Crew Chief, he was Sprague's crew chief for years in the Truck and Busch Series as well for about half the season in Cup in 2003 before he parted ways with the team.

2. Jeff Green - Pennzoil #1 Chevrolet, final race on his agreement/contract for DEI is this weekend's Southern 500. Busch Series point leader Scott Riggs is rumored to be taking over the car for next year

3. Bill Elliott - Dodge Dealers #9 Dodge, according to Jayski.com is contemplating retirement, Greg Biffle who has not yet re-signed with Roush Racing is rumored to replace him. However, Ray Evernham said he would not change drivers and is still confident of Elliott's ability in the car.

4. Buckshot Jones - Aarons Rents #00 Chevrolet, will attempt to qualify for the Atlanta race later this year in a Michael Waltrip owned car, with Bobby Kennedy as the Crew Chief.

5. Mike Wallace - #09 Dodge, will drive Winston Cup races at the following tracks: Richmond on Sept. 6; Talladega on Sept. 28; Kansas on Oct. 5; Atlanta on Oct. 26; Phoenix on Nov. 2; and Homestead on Nov. 16

6. Greg Biffle - Grainger #16 Ford, has not yet re-signed with Roush Racing. He's undergoing a crew Chief change, Randy Goss will now head Roush Racing's Busch Series Program while Doug Richert will take up the crew chiefing duties of the 16.

7. Hideo Fukuyama - #66 Ford, the team has shut down due to lack of sponsorship, Fukuyama is looking for a ride.
