Fellas, over at NASCAR.com, there's an interview with Bill Elliot and they ask him if "demon money" is keeping him from running the Pepsi 400...he replies that he will run it with Coca Cola sponsorship under his own name Bill Elliot Race Team, LLC...does this have something to do with Evernham and Mt Dew?

It does have to do with Evernham. Evernham Motorsports has a multi year contrat with Pepsi and its Mountain Dew product. Since Coke is Pepsi's compition they won't let Coke sponsor one of Evernhams cars, so Elliott is leasing a car from Evernham for the race

I always thought Elliot was a Coca Cola driver...or at least he used to be...maybe that was before pepsi teamed up with evernham? I know I have a #9 coca cola stick on somewhere...

I think because you have to have it to survive, but it makes you do things you don't want to do (like shill for a company)

I heard that he is racing the number 98. I think he needs to break out the old 94 number back when he had McDonalds and Coke.

The 91 is Ray's 3rd car #, because Bill has to do this as his own team because of the sponser conflict, I read the # will be 98. He'll drive the 91 at Indy when he's racing for Ray.
