    If Smokey Yunick was in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, this would not have happened.

    As a birder, I did a bit of digging on this just after it originally happened. At that time, no one had even a semi-solid explanation for the behavior.

    That happened in the same week where the three team haulers crashed/burned down, just days after Childress drove the 3 at Talladega.

    Its not an unusual occurrence. Birds only see a clear path not the window pane. I've had this happen a couple times, o flock will fly through and follow the ones in front right into the window.
