Black Friday...how did you make out?

I only went to Best Buy and Wal Mart (both terrible)
I got a good surround sound system, some cheap PS2 games, and a USB Cruzer Mini for my girlfriend for christmas, so she doesn't have to worry about losing papers anymore.
Oh, the rest of that stuff was for me. And the surround sound is awesome.

How about everyone else?

We took in Cutie's favorite thrift store while I killed time looking for hooks to hang Christmas rope lights and some new tinsel garland......found the hooks :) . Then we hurried on over to Big Lots to see if we could find the garland there.........we did. :) Cutie found some Christmas cards and I found some really strange (but pretty) colored Christmas balls. Got those and looked at a tree skirt for twenty bucks........but we have dogs that love to pee on tree skirts! :( Didn't get that. Anyway.........bottem line is we make out like a bandit!! Spent about 25 bucks total!!! :beerbang: :beerbang:

I worked from 9am to 8pm, so my friday pretty much sucked

I didn't go near a mall. People are just to crazy here.:( Lot's of stuff on the news about accidents in the parking lots, fights in the stores, etc. I worked and then put my mom's Christmas tree up and started decorating the house. I'll shop next week.:beerbang:

I did ok. Kept my butt at home. We did have a fight at our Wal Mart. Two women got in a knock down drag out over some item. The Cops had to be called in. :)

I went to the Post Office for Christmas stamps. Walked right in, bought the stamps, and walked right out. Guess everyone was shopping. LOL

I did the shopping bit when I was much younger --- way too much trouble to do it now.

like DE said, we didn't go near any malls.......NO WAY, NOT IN LA......we pretty much stayed close to home to get stuff to decorate, I went to my thrift store to get out what they had.......
I will start xmas shopping next week or so......not looking forward, but certainly not going to any malls.......not gonna battle the traffic or the crowds....I do not like crowds and shoving women just to save a buck or two.....not worth it..... :D

but it was a fairly good day, we got the lights up...now we're gonna work on the tree today..........next week I'll do cards......a little shopping, still have no clue what to get anyone, although I did get DE 3 things already......

I spent the morning and a good part of the afternoon, cutting the grass and picking up all the leaves. How exciting.

Hey, I've been on the road so much this year that the place is looking pretty bad. Still have to trim the shrubs and and trees and put away the lawn furniture for the winter.

As much as I dislike yard work, it sure beats battling the mobs at the stores.

I went camping on a lake and caught a catfish! Much better than fighting over the light up reindeer like last year. :D

I had no desire to go anywhere near a mall. Any shopping I do, is right here close to home, and most (when I buy presents) is done online. With free shipping for the most part, you can't beat it! ;)

you got that right Maj......I have no desire also to go near any malls.......we have sams near us, and a few stores around us close...and online shopping, well that should tally it up just nicely.....works for me........one year I shopped just online..it was great..fast and easy..... :beerbang: so let all those LA manaics push and shove each other and battle the traffic.......not this girl....... :D

Within a 5 mile radius of my house here, cutie, I have the following larger retail stores:
Wal-Mart
Target
JC Penney
Kohls
Ross
Lowes
Home Depot
Big Lots
Hobby Lobby

If I can't find what I need there, then I don't need it! :D And, then I resort to online stores!

think our walmart is about 15 miles away..not going there......
we have a home depot in the sams shopping center, and big lots is not very far from us either within maybe 3 or 4 miles.....
wish we had a ross close by, ours is way to far.....we have a jc penney think in downtown san fernando, but as for other larger stores like target, to far....burbank.......that is a nice shopping center, but surely not going to that this time of year, off season it is bad enough..
but I will make do with what we have near by and online........
:beerbang:

Hey, ROSS is a great store, I forgot all about that one...of course, haven't lived in CA since 92ish

Since we went racing on Thursday, we actually celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday. Survived.. Stuffed.. LOL

Well I hit about every store in town! I love the madness of the day after Thanksgiving. Tay is just about done (even have everything wrapped)! Even bought myself a little something...
