Here's a list of things I would rather do than go Black Friday shopping:

a) Take the SATs.
b) Root canal
c) visit the DMV.
d) 20 page essay on foreign policy.
e) Watch Breaking Dawn.
f) argue with KingGlamis and FenderBumper
g) argue with fred in The Podium
h) Rush hour traffic on the Beltway.

For B
Black Friday, my brother and his wife are taking us to Wakulla Springs. Should be nice and crowd free, with everyone shopping instead. I made a vow to not go Black Friday shopping ever ever ever.

wife was getting up at 6 am to go look for a dishwasher. she's still sleeping. i've done my duty by telling her not to go and not waking her up. :)

To me, there is no deal in the world worth waking up (or staying up all night) and fighting that kind of insanity.

Last night around 10:30 some crazy lady pepper sprayed the crowd at the local Walmart because they were standing between her and the bargains
What the hell:confused:

Dayum!

It's crap like this that keeps me at home. It may be rare, but Black Friday is just one big, insane mess that I will avoid no matter what.

I avoid Black Friday like the Black Plague. I shop all year, and I am done by October. I learned along time ago this was the easiest way for me,and has worked out pretty good through the years.

Root Canal sounds good if you can get the right Drugs and wake up Sunday

What cracks me up is when they find out that most of the deals they went all crazy to get aren't any better than what they would have gotten if they just waited another week or so.

Smart people would notice great deals all year round if they pay attention. Two Christmas ago i got Rock Band 2 that was at the time around 130 or more bucks for like 80 at Target and this was even before Oct came around. Great deal for something I really had wanted awhile.

Well, I just got back with everything for my camera -- good deals on Black Friday so I got what I needed for it.

I would've rather spent the day arguing with KingGlamis and FenderBumper, it was that awful today.

What did you get?

SD cards, flash drives and batteries.

16GB flash drive for $10, 2GB SD cards for $4 and 4GB SDHC cards for $5. I have a Konica Minolta point and shoot, it takes good pictures and has a rapid shoot mode for sports. Still need a DSLR, getting one later this winter.

Andy, I think it was last week the NBC News had an interview with one of the top photographers in the country (can't remember her name) where Brian Williams asked here what was the best camera one should buy. Her answer believe it or not was one of today's cell phones. Of course I'm sure she was answering the question as to the average photo taker, but still, you can get some amazing photos with these little phones and if you have the right programs, you can make those photos really come alive.

But I'm with you, I have always wanted a digital SLR, if only for the fun of it.

Mom's got an EOS Rebel DSLR, I have an SX10IS P&S. She used to be a professional photog, but the newer cameras are so touchy, she has to have that manual control. Her's obviously has the better sensor, but usually I'm the one getting good shots out of it. Mine's good in daylight, but I can't go past 50% zoom in cloudy or darker before the sensor starts getting iffy.

If your still willing to do it I have a 10 page paper to write on Bahrain:D
