Anyone going out tomorrow?

There are some really good deals, but personally, I'd rather be dropped off in the middle of Syria.

Why not just shop online if you don't like crowds and are needing a good deal?

I shop on-line all the time. I haven't been to a mall in over 10-12 years, maybe longer. Not worth the hassle IMHO.

Same here but I do appreciate the fact that some people choose to go out amongst the throngs and support commerce/caspitalism in their own way.

The only Black Friday store here is Wally World. Nearest mall of any size is over an hour from my house. Besides, my Christmas shopping is DONE !
Last 2 gifts were delivered by USPS today.
All I have to do now is wrap. And ship grandson's gifts to Alabama.

I just left my wife's sister's house a little bit ago. He husband loves the Black Friday stuff. He was at WalMart at 6am this morning where he stood in line to get a couple of good deals. He got a 32" HDTV for like $149.00. He also got a great deal on a Dell computer at Best Buy, but he found out they were open last night and he was able to get the deal then so he did.

CURRENT's John Fugelsang posted this on Facebook:

"Dear Black Friday Shoppers: the media that just whipped you into a frenzy is now mocking you for acting frenzied."

I use to have a Krispy Kreme shop within 3 miles on each side of me, but one of them changed to a Chick fil a. But at least I still have one Krispy Kreme and four In-N-Out Burgers around me.:)

No Krispy Kreme, no Chick-fil-A, no In-N-Out burger, no Starbucks, no Long John Silver's, no Burger King, no Chili's, no Olive Garden --- well, you get the idea.

Dad and I have counted 6 In'n'Outs just in the areas we travel...and they still have lines, several months after opening. All are along the corridor interstates.

That's because In-N-Out rocks. Of course I haven't had one in years and years and years. In fact, last time I had one, it was still strictly a southern California joint.

We have McDonald's, What-a-burger, Sonic, Applebee's, Cotton Patch.

No Hardee's, nearest Arby's is 36 miles away.

Yeah, if you want anything other than Hardees, you have to go to Roanoke, Christiansburg, Martinsville or Danville. All are an hour or more away.

But there are tons and tons of racetracks :) and that's all that counts, right VADirt?

All In-N-Outs have lines, no matter how long they've been open.

Now if only 3/4 of TH didn't require amputation to pay the bill....

I had a 5 Guys burger -- and was not impressed. We have a local place here that beats 5 Guys hands down.
My mom always said if juice from the burger doesn't run down your arm, it isn't worth eating. The local place makes a bacon cheeseburger that's at least a 5 napkin burger.:bounce:

I'll agree with that. A new 5 Guys went in near me so I had to try it. The skimpy bun disintegrated about two bites in and the overall flavor of the burger was just mediocre. The local deli has a way better burger than 5 Guys. If I'm going for a fast food burger then Fatburger is the best for me.

New place, Johnny Rockets is pushing their new burger, 60% beef, 40% bacon topped with cheddar cheese. Called the squealer,,I'll be passing.

The best thing about Carl's Jr. is the commercial with Emily Ratajkowski...:growl:

Same advertising too. Hadn't seen that one, but the Hardees commercial are similar. The one with their Jalapeno burger, or whatever it is, ends with something along the lines of

Show them your jalapen-
O-face.
