just thought id pass this along.......when i worked for in the cup series, the guys would often refer to the Monday following the last race of the season as Black Monday......meaning teams let go a lot of employees.

wonder how many will be let go this year

Good question.

The over the wall folks that are not employed at the shops are not full time employees, but they are out until next season.

Some of the larger shops that do their own engines, chassis, bodys and such will likely cut back very little if at all.

The smaller shops that sub out most of the work mentioned above probably reduce the work force substantially.

there's also a lot of employees that jump from team to team........this to me is as interesting as drivers changes

We'll see who gets cut. I think the teams like Kenseth's and so on who consistently do well on pit stops will remain for the most part unchanged. Other than that it's all open, but I could care less about who is and who is not on a pit crew.

Yeah, Team Jesel (#36 and #66 Busch) might be closing. No Cup teams announced they were closing yet, though I'd say Donlavey is pretty close (though most of his crew are volunteers).
