Tasca's funeral will be held this Sunday. His obit reads like a who's who in Ford mangement past and present.
Rumors are Carroll Shelby and John Force will attend.
As a side note the photo jogged my memory. Bill Lawton was a local racer who was running a Chevy, with success, when Bob Sr signed him to drive. At one time there was a Galaxie 500, a Falcon, Mustang and the Fairlane "Thunderbolt". Only the Fairlane survived and it
was numbered 777, for the address of the dealership at 777 Tauton Ave.
I went to high school right by the dealership. I cut a few classes, ok more than a few, to go over and watch them work on the cars. Got bit by the racing bug and to date no cure has been found. My little butt has sat in that car.
Bill passed away from lung cancer in the late 80's IIRC. I remember him well, jeans and tee-shirt with a ever present pack of Luckies rolled up in the sleeve.

I have no doubt Bob and Bill are planning to run a car wherever they are.:beerbang:
