I think that was not a good call on NASCAR's part.
Edwards was penalized a lap for "aggressive driving". In no way was that "aggressive". Things happen when you have this tight of a group of cars. Mikey might of lifted a little and Carl barely got into him.
At best NASCAR should have penalized Carl one lap for "plate racing".
Plate racing sucks.

Bobby, I tend to agree cuz those sure were "soft" taps, IMO. Not Carl's fault that Mikey couldn't handle his car and lost it! Mikey had already said he was loose!

How about Kyle Busch? He was supposed to come in to serve a drive through penalty under green , but instead stays out and is involved in an accident at the end of the race. Why wasn't he put a lap down? Edwards deserved what he got IMO.

If it was Jeff you wouldn't be singing the same toon. Carl hit him 3...count them...1...2...3 times. 1 time I could see. 3 No WAY. Espically in that part of the track.

I've went back and viewed the video several times and it was not aggressive. There wasn't a mark on the front of the 60 and Carl did not lift the rear wheels off the ground of the 99 like Mikey thought.
It is what it is, though. At least Carl drove his butt off nd got a top 5.

Mikey said post crash " I was slow" !!, If your too slow then get out of the way. It's easier said than done when you think you got a chance.

Not that easy on a plate track...In the second position, I think....where are you going to go?????

I could see 1 bump, NOT 3. I also believe he bumped him too close to the corner. A car doesn't have to have damage on it to wreck someone on a plate track. ;)

^ yep. that was what i was gonna said.. what the officials didn't like was that carl bumped mikey getting into the corner. so that explains the penalty

plus I think NASCAR was trying to send a message for saturday night's race
