Lots of talk about NBC. But my bonehead goes to NASCAR for their awful decision on when the throw the caution at the end of the X race on Friday. I understand the need for safety and to make sure the proper personnel get to the drivers ASAP. But a determination on whether to let them race back to the line or throw the caution soon needs to made sooner. Instead, they opened themselves up to a controversial finish. Just imagine the complaining had this happened in a Cup race.

I agree. Nascar is the bonehead for being slow with the caution, forcing numerous competitors to race for position through the crash scene.

I agree on the Logano deal.........
Logano was very aggressive, as per his normal, darting between lanes, pushing from behind, etc. He was quick to say he didn't mean to get into Busch, and to apologize for it, in his TV interview. If he's smart, he'll call Kurt to say that directly to him.

So they are mad about Joey, but the move by McM was just racing? I think anymore everybody is going to blame Joey or Brad if they even get near someone, but others can do as they want and it is OK>

This.

You have guys starting threads mentioning Joey in the Xfinity race when he didn't even touch Chase...ya, I know, he tried blocking him and moved him down but realized he was late and moved back up and gave the position to Chase...yet Joey was the bad guy in that. Lol. I watch races every week where someone loses it and causes a wreck and I don't see nearly the out cry from the masses over it.

Smoke simply lost it on the track and caused numerous cars to get taken out. Where's the outcry??? Oh, he's #14 and not #22. Joey took out ONE car (and admitted it was his fault) in the final lap racing for position (generally in these races someone wipes out the whole field on the final lap, like Harvick).

NBC again. It is simple to see where they get their money from. toyoter. Although they tried to make it a little less obvious this time. Passing was non existent this time. that makes for a boring race.

Joey took out Kurt on the FINAL damn lap and did it to keep Kurt from beating his teammate.
Lisa, I appreciate your loyalty and passion for your favorite guy, but I really doubt that was Joey's motivation. He apologized for his mistake, and explained that he was trying to pass the 41 when he accidentally got into him. IMO it is reasonable to call it a bonehead mistake, but not reasonable to say Joey did it on purpose.

Even if Joey had given Kurt a big push at that point, it was too late for either Kurt or Joey to get around the 2 car. Kurt would have relished 20 more points, but a win was not going to happen.

Oh good god. I hate to break it to ya, but Kurt wasn't going to pass Brad. Kes led 115 laps with the dominant car.

Of course I have to go with Joey dumping Brad, but I will also give it to NASCAR for the way they handled the X race , of course I told them that in this weeks fan council survey

Poor Lisa ! This is an opinion thread and we try to call incidents as we see them , from our own perspectives . The Logano fans saw it one way , Kurt's fans saw it another . End of story .

I'll buy you a jlo T-shirt and hat. All you have to do is wear them and walk through the pits at Waterford or Stafford. I'll leave the choice of track to you. Where should we send flowers???

Kurt never had a car all night to challenge for the lead and he wasn't on the last lap either.

If people don't want to watch Racing, ( you know where a driver does all he can to get the best finish he can) then you should watch cabs jockey for position at Union Station.

Oh wait these guys are more aggressive than any nascar driver.

Why the hell should a driver have to apologize for doing his job. Damn I don't understand why fans expect everyone to follow the leader so as to not hurt anyone's feelings.
It's not like he pulled a Gordon/Kenseth deal.

I had turned the race off prior to that incident so I can't comment on it specifically. I will say that in life you normally get back what you give out so if some of the drivers think that JLo is not racing within the confines of what is deemed acceptable he will end up the big loser as he did last year. As far as apologies go once they become necessary on a frequent basis it turns into a "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" scenario.

JLo will still be making millions after these cry babies retire.

Don't think for a moment Kurt doesn't wish he was still with Team Penske.

I really doubt that Kurt wishes he was still at Penske....... He is doing just fine where he is. As far as Sliced Bread Joey......... I have never been vocal against him until Sat. night..... It's one thing to ''move'' someone at a short track or at a track where pack racing is not going on..... Even an imbecile with no learning whatsoever knows you don't pull the crap that your ''Boy'' Joey did Sat. night...... That was stupid!!!!!!!! He was just lucky he didn't collect the whole field behind him..... But...... if he did....... all he would do is give that stupid looking s@@t eating grin that has become his trademark......... He better make sure he needs no help from anyone besides his team mate because he sure as hell ain't gonna' get any from the other competitors.......

My god ppl did you not see Kurt cut across Joeys nose? Why the HELL would he lift?! Its the final lap that pedal stay glued to the floor no matter what happens.

I guess my T.V. was showing a different thing than yours...... I don't have the ''Joey is Jesus'' Elite coverage........ just the Basic plan.......

I think a lot of you have a dislike for Joey and everything is automatically his fault.
Joey was behind Kurt, show me just what he did wrong. Show me don't just print more of your
dislike for the guy.

Did you not see Joey take responsibility for accidently spinning Kurt, and express his regret that he caused that?

Dumping someone isn't a product of the racing. It's a product of an overaggressive driver who often crosses the line between "aggressive" and "dirty".
I've never seen Joey Logano cross the line between "aggressive" and "dirty." He is often what I'd call over-aggressive, particularly in the early portion of races. In the late laps, his aggressiveness is generally appropriate IMO. But I've never seen dirty. What examples do you have in mind when you say he is a dirty driver?

Saturday night, I felt that Joey was over-aggressive on quite a few occasions.

Yeah, the incidents probably weren't much different but unfortunately Joey is getting a reputation for this kind of stuff, which is probably why his move is under more scrutiny.

So he caused it and admitted it. Big difference between that and people saying he intentionally
wrecked Kurt.
Sure, a big difference, as I've posted several times in this thread. But that post was responding to SlicedBreadFanboy who was saying Kurt wrecked himself, and I do not agree with that.
