Let's hear it, some nominees for Bonehead of the Week. My vote goes to Juan Pablo Montoya for running Kyle Busch into the wall on more bad driving. It's almost like he's trying to get out of his NASCAR to go back to the IRL. He's hitting somebody every week.

Looked to me like Kyle went to block Juan and took himself out of the race, kinda like last year when he went to block Tony and took himself out of the Chase.

Kyle's interview was pure crap as well. I give him bonehead for that, being a smartass. Then when Ralph showed him the video, he had some excuse like the draft caused the car to turn right. I'm not saying that isn't what happened (I'm not in the car so I don't know) but why was that the one and only time we've seen something like that?

Kyle Busch, hands down for me. Sure he is easy to dislike, and his post CRASH interview reminded me why.

He did say that what happened to him was the same thing that he did to Hamlin in practice.

Bonehead goes to Kyle, not for his driving but for having the most ridiculous explanation of how the wreck happened.

Go Kyle! :beerbang:

You're still my favorite driver :)

Its amazing that so few people realize how privileged we are to be able to watch one of the best racers to ever wheel a Stockcar.

Like everything else this special,....its rarely appreciated at the time

Dude...He did that on puropse to f with the reporter

I was talking about the "When your beside somebody like that they can move you, they have control on your car..." Bullcrap, that wasn't f'ing with the reporter that was a lame excuse. It appears he went for a block and messed up, again, I didn't quite understand why Montoya was coming down at the same time though. I did get a laugh at the "I turned right across the nose of the 42 for nothing to do. Yea, I wanted to wreck myself."

And don't call me dude.

For what it's worth , I thought the same thing. Kyle wasn't the only driver to say that the draft could turn you sideways. He isn't just some nut out there wrecking cars , he is easily one of the top drivers .

I am gonna take a different route on this one. I am gonna go with Kasey Kahne. I just can't understand why Kahne didn't try to make a move for the win when he had Gordon on his bumper. I really believe if he woulda dropped down Gordon would have gone with him. Instead, he stayed in line perfectly and finished 2nd. Is 2nd bad? Not by any means, BUT I still believe the 9 could have been in victory lane.

I was wondering the same thing about Kasey. I only saw the replays, didn't watch the race, but it appeared at the end of the race Kasey had a strong car. Maybe he could only get to Gordons' bumper and din't have enough to get by him or maybe he was afraid he would be hung out to dry if he tried to pull out to pass?

I think this is what Kahne must have been thinking. However, I noticed as they were coming to the line Gordon was weaving down looking as though he thought Kahne would do the same thing to be pushed to the front. Jeff also said, after the race, that he was trying to help the 9 get by the 29. Kahne goofed

I change my vote. Mine goes to the idiot fans (and certain media personalities) who are claiming the Nationwide race was fixed. Get a grip. If NASCAR was in the business of fixing races, Jimmie Johnson wouldn't be able to win four straight championships and Junyer would probably win a Cup race at least every year.

Some woman called in to Wind Tunnel last night and claimed that Dale Sr. was in the car with Jr. at Daytona. ;)

looked more to me like Gordon couldn't give Kasey the shove he needed

I couldn't agree more and I'm not even a Junior fan. If Nascar was fixed he would never miss the chase like he has before and if it was fixed he would be the one winning 4 straight championships.

i thought he was riding shotgun with jpm. <g> dale sr: son, don't let no car on old tires put you a lap down. just sorta sidle down by him and see if he can handle a car getting real loose real quick. if that don't work, nudge him a bit to let him know who you are. <g>
