Some good candidates this week. You have Denny Hamlin's crew for screwing up a pit stop while leading the race. The flat tire bailed them out of the award. There is Montoya's crew chief for taking two tires on a caution while leading the race, then goes backward. But my nod goes to Johnny Sauter in the truck race Friday night at Texas. He changes lanes on a restart before the S/F line, zips to the lead, but is penalized for the move. He had the race won and literally gave it away. He's my choice.

Montoya and company for taking 2 tires. That is damn stupid at Pocono.

split between montoya and sauter.

To take 2 tires once is stupid. To do it twice is ignorant.

But changing lanes on a restart is right up there with.

I'm not sure if it was actually Montoya's decision to go with two, but as I understand it the 42 was out of pit sequence with the rest of the field and they were trying to get caught up. He got passed by the four tire cars after the restarts, but seemed to be back in the top five and keeping up with the four tire cars after a few laps.

Bonehead of the weekend goes to myself, for checking out the bonehead thread while in the middle of the F1 race I had recorded. I found out who won before it happened.

But it was still a very, very enjoyable race to watch.
