Start naming your nominees.

My nominees:

NASCAR, Kentucky Speedway and Bruton Smith for the traffic fiasco at the Kentucky Speedway, turning fans away and not "feeling like" refunding fans who missed the race they paid to see. "It was the number of cars that overwhelmed us" (how were they supposed to get there?)

Brian Barnhart for his numerous ****ups in IndyCar.

Randy Bernard for the whole Las Vegas fiasco (crashes are awesome, right?).

The City of Baltimore for having a year and a half to plan for the Baltimore Grand Prix and still not having a plan on race weekend.

Kyle Busch for dumping Hornaday under caution and getting parked.

Andy, please save the Indycar rants and boneheads for the Open Wheel board. This is the NASCAR board

Andy, for bringing IndyCar rants to the NASCAR section for many weeks.

David Ragan for throwing away a Daytona 500 win, and any chance of keeping his sponsor.

i doubt he would have had much of a chance anyway. Next year they are doing just 1 or 2 races as a primary sponsor, so they probably wanted to cut their sponsorship budget back a lot anyway.

Andy and his "lets not go there"

Rock on, keyboard warrior.

I also nominate the dozen or so forum members who whined about Harvick losing the championship last year because of the Chase but not whining about the Chase robbing Edwards this year.

Didn't NASCAR change out one of the short tracks for a cookie cutter 1.5 mile track for the 2012 season or something?

But it's alright when others have brought IndyCar rants in to the NASCAR section, like when JR Hildebrand was named Charlotte Bonehead?

Gotcha.

Gotcha nothin. For one thing, that weekend's bonehead thread was entitled "Memorial Day Weekend Bonehead." not "Charlotte bonehead."

And i still nominate you for whiner of the year, or even decade. Good Lord, is there ever a waking moment when you don't complain, whine and moan? Does that not ever get tiresome to be that negative all the time about so many things?

So being consistent about my position on the Chase, while just about everyone else on the forum has done a complete 180, makes me a whiner? Gotcha.

Last race of the year and everyone is stressing already. It takes me a week to start jonesing for a stock car race. ;)

Yes, a consistent whiner. There's practically nothing you don't ***** and moan about, and I know well that I'm not the only one tired of the constant whining.

Many people here(myself included) still hate the chase. Nothing we say is going to change it though. The chase isn't going anywhere, especially after this season.

I nominate Andy's constant chronic complaining. Good evidence that if you practice complaining enough, that you can make it a 24/7 lifestyle.

Honorable mentions to Kyle Busch. Texas was just the iceberg. He allowed himself to believe he could dish out retaliations with no repercussions, he kept ratcheting it up, with a just deal with it attitude....... well they did.

I don't want to trash him, he is entertaining, and he is one the greatest talents the racing world has ever seen. He just needed an attitude adjustment.

Vickers is another honorable mention, he has had an overall good career, but he did a good job in the late season of trashing his credibility and future prospects.

Michael Waltrip for throwing a good driver, and individual under the bus.

Nationwide for dumping IRP.

I'd go with Kyle Busch. He actually still had a legit shot at the title at that point, but still decided he was above the law, so to speak, and it cost him.

Without a doubt Kyle Busch. Hopefully he'll learn something from all of this and he too could be celebrating a Cup championship at this time of the year.

*snert* Please, Busch head is full of rocks, he'll never learn.

My nomination goes to Nationwide dropping IRP from their schedule.

Michael Waltrip for throwing a good driver, and individual under the bus.

Yesterday, David was asked how things were at the shop, and he said something like 'there was a lot more resentment in the building this week'.

If the sponsor asked for a change, Waltrip should have warned Reutimann instead of hanging him out to dry. Michael was bitter when he couldn't guarantee Bayne a ride this year and Bayne went where the ride was. He made a few backhanded comments, then he does this to a loyal friend.

The Waltrips always have been about themselves in a big way. I'll never forget Darrell tearing down a few guys who got in the hall before him. "But I did this and they only did that". Unbelievable. You can bet Darrell had a hand in getting Hammond sidelined so Michael could make an extra 100 sponsor mentions each week.

3 pages of posts and not one Steven Wallace mention.....is that a new record for bonehead of the year? lol :D

I know he might just be implied.

I think most of us have tried to block him out of our mind. Wallace is a good pick, i'll go with that.

I'll just say:

BUSCH

and leave it up to y'all as to which one is the bigger bonehead of the two.

But there are several great options here...

I hope Mark falls out of the top35 and misses several races next year. I especially hope Michael DNQs when he is in the car. Aarons does not deserve TV time.

NASCAR,for taking the Truck race for Sept.'12 away from Loudon and moving it to Kentucky, of all places.
Maybe ''Brain'' France and Bruton will be parking cars again at KMS.
Looks like we'll be going to Martinsville next year.

I'm still scratching my head about why Aarons would put Reutimann in new commercials just before asking for a change. It seems more likely that MM and Bowyer along with Reutimann out was all one big business decision.
We all know Michael is the Aarons spokesperson and someone else drives the car.
