Boring ?

If you watch F1 racing only to see who will win the race, then yes, you have had a pretty boring year. I guess I may be the only person who watches practice, qualifying, and the race. (thank you Speedvision) I watch to see if Davidson can perform, I watch to snicker at the Jaguars, I watch to see if the Arrows mess will ever be cleaned up. I watch to see Kimi win his first race, remember he had beat the world champion until the oil. Massa, Montoya and Sato always seem to do somthing to see. I also watch to see the near perfect Scuderia Ferrari...remember the goal of every team from go-kart thru to F1, CART, IRL and NASCAR to to assemble the best machine, put in the best driver and support it with the best organization. When they succeed, that IS exciting.

I agree 100%. You see the very same people that say it's boring to "watch the same person win" calling out for their favorite NASCAR driver to pull three in a row.

F1 is the most exciting racing there is right now, the cars are beautiful and are fast beyond our imagination.

I love it.

If you follow it,be it any form of racing,or sport it is interesting to you.I agree with you Paul, but am not a fan of that type of racing.:)

Appreciate that shot at me Paul. That was well deserved.

i have to agree with f1 seatle, i watch anything f1 on tv and look beyond the ferrari running away with the races. If u stick around or the coverage is good u get to see true F1 racing with the BAR's, Jags, Jordans, and Renaults racing within inches around 180mph+ corners. It is really fun to watch the rookies make rookie mistakes and watch Shumacher act so cool under pressure from the wild Montoya. Perhaps the best fight so far has been Kimi and Juan both fearless and are very agressive.

Yea, that's very much untrue. You can predict a F1 race like you can the sun coming up. Where is the fun in that?
Jeff Gordon has won 2 of 25 races this year. Both of which have come after a long drought. Schumi has won 10 of 14 races with his Ferrari teammate winning three of the others. David Coultard is the only non-Ferrari driver to win a race this year. What's fun about watching that? Nothing. Competition is nonexistant in F1 racing right now and I for one can't stand to watch it. If you knew which team was going to win every NFL game would you still watch them all? That's what I figured.

The only thing that's untrue in this thread is your statement:

F1 is the most exciting racing there is right now

Now that's untrue....

lol...touche!

For me the excitement comes from not just who will win but from all other aspects of the sport. Pit stop strategy, tires, car setups I mean the list goes on and on.

Nearly every NASCAR race this year has been a snoozer. Single file, billboard racing at it's best. But I love it anyway.

If you're only watching the sport to see who wins, then yes it will be boring. But if you pay attention to the other aspects of each sport you get more excitement from it.

Now we can agree on something Paul.:) NASCAR racing has gotten into more of a single file follow the leader I can't pass because of an "aero push" kinda racing. I wish they would knock off some of the spoiler and go back to running the softer tires from a few years ago. Then we'd see a lot more passing the races would come down to who could get their car handling just right.

I don't just watch racing to see who wins but it is a big part of it. That's usually what people are talking about on Monday anyway. Either that or who causes the big wreck. I enjoy seeing how pit strategy works out and how the younger drivers fare against the vets. I always find myself pulling for a first timer if one has a chance in a race. You've gotta love seeing a guy win his first race. Now if we could just get more underdogs winning F1 races then it would be on.....:)

we gotta remember that these 2 types of racing are at complete opposite ends of the racing spectrum. Sure MS had the best percentage of winning by far, but that what happens when the best driver has the best equipment. Ferrari is showing how dominate they are:) Italians love there high performance mechanics, everything they have is high performance, hell they got pizza ovens that cook a pizza in like a couple min! :D so you can't expect much less than what they are doing:)

Schumi has won 10 of 14 races with his Ferrari teammate winning three of the others. David Coultard is the only non-Ferrari driver to win a race this year.

Not that it matters much to your argument but RS won the Maylaysian GP
for Williams.

Steve Kinser is on his way to his 17th championship but I don't find WoO racing boring. As far as racing excitment I belive that the IRL is the best. I only watch Nascar when they go to Cali, Michigan or Bristol
