the boss sprints brought an incredible 39 sprints to the burg and put on a great show despite another very disappointing dry-slick dust bowl of a track. there was a great crowd too, I'm sure the regular racing fanatics will be back, but the newbies maybe not so much, most people enjoy being able to see the whole track at all times and most folks have a problem with being sand blasted. what is so difficult about watering a track? there was a zero percent chance of rain tonite, so the powers that be could have watered the track to their hearts content, and I guess they did, but why they prefer a crappy dry slick to a nice tacky multi-grooved track with lots of bite all the way around with no dust is beyond me. fortunately when this track was designed it was built to provide good racing regardless of track conditions. at any rate, thanks to boss and all their teams for coming out and putting on a great show and congratulations to t-mez for put'n another notch in his gun. all we can do as burg regulars is continue to ask for a properly watered track, but it seems as though the more we ask, the more the track prep folks go out of their way to do just the opposite, just like a rebellious child. maybe we should cry out for dry slick bust bowls and maybe they would water the track out of spite???? at any rate it sure would be nice to see a nice tacky track for midget week, next sat (my favorite race night of the year!) hope'n j t staap is doin alright tonight, after riding out a wicked crash during hot laps.
