A different kind of racing............

My grandaughter and her husband will both be running in the 26 mile Boston Marathon on April 17th.

It is the only Marathon in the U.S., I believe, that reguires a person to qualify. There will be 20,000 of some of the world's best runners entered (Kenya and Ethiopia). My grandaughter is really hyper about it and is confident that she will finish the Marathon, hopefully well.

Best of luck to them both! Please let us know how things go. "Heartbreak Hill" must be really tough that late in the race, and I will try to keep Mother Nature in line.

Would any of you believe me if I told you that I've been going into Boston to see the Marathon live near the finish line there for the past few years?

sure, since you live in Waltham I believe you. my GD has a goal of finishing the marathon in 3 hr and 15 min. or less.

I'm assuming you're gonna be there Mug. Will you be over near the finish line like I will be? I'll be on the sidewalk with a lawnchair and possibly a CD player with oodles of EDM CDs.
